A few facts about Faroese shawls
March 31, 2009 by rippedoffknitter
1. Faroese shawls are pretty (that is a fact in my world).
2. They are knit from the outer edge and require casting on plus/minus half a thousand stitches.
3. The first ball of yarn does not take a knitter very far.

Ah, but they get faster as you go along, a real plus in my world. I’m not sure it makes up for the cast on, however.
and you can make them humongously big!!!!!!!
however I am very curious about the pattern.
I haven’t tried a Farose shawl yet…so I’m looking forward to seeing your progress. Great color!
