I wasn’t intending to make a bedspread either but think I’m on good way there. 5 balls of Dalegarn Lerke got me through the bottom border of the Faeroese shawl. I’m now at ball eight and still can’t stretch out all the stitches on my 100 cm needle. I think this will grow a lot in the blocking too, the yarn being half cotton.
(Ings, your record for largest shawl knit by mistake is safe but I can still hear you laughing.)
Well perhaps a cozy up blanket for the sofa…
WHAHAHAHA oh no, I am in an open office space…. ah heck, they have to live with it.

Well my “oh…. so this is the size… right” faeroe shawl is beyond cozy snuggle up sofa size blanket, it is more on the side of *lay flat out on the sofa sleeping with no parts of the body not covered by the “shawl”*. And for records I am 180 cm tall. However, it is still triangular, so it cant be called a blanket!
I wonder if there are anybody else out there whit similar shawls inhabiting they sofas….

hehehe, I have never meassured my shawl, but it is for sure not a one-woman-shawl, and I did never block it so it can get bigger….
Ripped has sweard on that she will blog about my shawl, and I guess meassures would be taken…. we will have to see when both me and her is in the same city as the shawl.
however, I am not sure I want to know how big it is…..
